Not much to report after the excitement of the weekend I am afraid.
I have been reading Mason-Dixon Knitting and for the first time I am tempted to knit dish cloths and linen hand towels. I will have to incorporate the day of the week into the dishcloths so I will know which one to use and don't end up using the same one for days on end - ewww! It is a great book and I highly recommend it.
I am also tempted to set up my own Knit Cafe when and if I am ever allowed to work again after reading Greetings from Knit Cafe.
I have decided to finish my Patricia Cornwell book before reading my new Harlan Coben - that way it will be longer before I finish it and won't have so long to wait for his next one.
The garden guys came yesterday to service the sprinklers and program them for the summer. He said they would most likely be able to do the work we had them quote for next week. I am so looking forward to having that part of the yard look nice.
Yesterday morning and this morning I planted up my window boxes. They don't look much at the moment but hopefully will look better when things grow. I should take pictures, will do that later.
Charlie had a great time playing in the spray from the hose that we use to water the hanging baskets and boxes. She got thoroughly soaked and had to be snuggled in a towel afterwards.
I discovered that my One Skein Secret pal also has a Boston Terrier. We agreed that they are the very best kind of dogs. I hope this hasn't given away who I am!
I was merrily knitting my Vogue top and then ran out of stitches because I had done too many decreases on the neck edge. I will have to rip out down to where I went wrong and redo that. I can't seem to knit anything right first time these days. What is wrong with me? - there is no need to answer that question - it was rhetorical.
I should get back to my studying now. It has started quite slowly and haven't done anything I can really get my teeth into yet. I prefer to learn a principle and then do exercises to apply it, rather than doing a lot of research and writing about my findings, and so far it has been the latter. I am hoping it will change soon.
