At last all my ducks are in as close to a straight row as they are going to be for now and I have released the latest version of my Knitting Chart Maker. Please have a play with it and be sure to let me know what you think especially if it does anything weird on you - or if there is something else you'd like it to do.
I know the Saving and Opening leave a lot to be desired, but that is Applets for you. One day it maybe a proper program and it will all be much simpler.
There is some Help on the second part of the page that I hope is useful. Again any feed back at all would be great.
If it won't load you may not have the Java Plug-in installed.
The biggest plan for its future is colour charts - maybe in a month or two!
It is free to use how ever you want - my gift to knitters everywhere :-)
It must be a good day for finishing things because despite having a streaming head cold (in June?? :-( Yes I know. I have no idea where it came from) - I have also completed Gary's socks. I managed to do the second extraction of yarn and grafting with out ripping the whole thing out or killing anyone, and I think they look OK. They fit him and I think they will be good for hiking or the winter. I actually used the chart maker for the "faux-gyle" pattern in them.
Next on my agenda is my khaki skirt. I decided I didn't have enough fabric for that and went back to Jo Ann's for some more. I prewashed it all, and just as well it shran
k about 2ins across the width and length. That would definitely have made an unwelcome difference if I had left the washing til afterwards.
Here is the view from our little deck. That's the mountains on the west side of the valley you can see.
