This week Edward went back to school so it's back to getting up very early to make sure he gets on the bus. The summer went by very quickly this year, but I think he is glad to be back. He is in 9th grade so it is his last year at middle school, and next year he'll have to go through being the youngest all over again at High School. He didn't do much over the summer, not even going swimming, but in a way I am glad because he missed out on catching Cryptosporidiosis which has caused havoc and the banning of children under five years from all public swimming pools in the state for the time being.
Today was our 27th Wedding Anniversary. We decided to go out for a Sushi dinner. I don't know if we went to the wrong place or what but we didn't enjoy it as much as we hoped. We then went and had coffee and chocolate cheesecake at good old dependable Barnes and Noble.
I have done absolutely nothing on the knitting or sewing front this week. I have been working on my Chart Maker though - making the symbol sets into floatable toolbars so that the grid area can be maximised. I discovered that with Safari on the Mac the key short cuts do not get passed to applets so it is impossible for users to copy the text for their charts on that browser - sorry about that I will have to think of another way to make that work. It may still be a couple of weeks away but a new release should be available soon.
I have also been getting to grips with Ravelry. So far I have entered a load of my books, and one project. I have joined 5 groups and set up one of my own for knitters who are addicted to Sudoku. It is a wonderful place and it is going to be very successful, not least because it has Bob the Boston Terrier as its mascot.
