For my third commute in a row round the west side of I215, the belt route round Salt Lake City, I have had to negotiate round an accident or seen the traffic tail back for miles behind one going the other way! And this doesn't even include Monday when it was actually snowing - I and many others chose to stay home that day, but I dread to imagine what it was like out there then.
I would hate to get into a frame of mind where I see so many accidents that I react with "Oh no not another accident, I am going to be late again" rather than "OMG, an accident I hope no one is hurt" - so please, please, slow down and take care!!!!
And, by the way, see that nice big space I have in front of me - that is my carefully calculated comfort space so I can stop without hitting the guy in front should it become necessary - it's not conveniently there for you to nip into and fill up. And I would appreciate it if some of you who get behind me would keep a similarly carefully calculated distance away from me!
